51 71 ... Removing And Installing/Replacing Top Right Steering Gear Cover

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove bottom steering gear cover . See 51 71 ... REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING BOTTOM LEFT OR RIGHT STEERING GEAR COVER .

Unscrew nut (1).

Release expander rivet (2) and remove cover (3).

Installation:

Replace damaged expander rivet.

Make sure cover is correctly positioned.

IMPORTANT: Make sure all covers in wheel arch are correctly seated in relation to each other:

Rear cover (1) overlaps front cover (2)
Cover (4) overlaps rear cover (1)
Cover (3) overlaps all covers
