32 31 087 Removing And Installing/Replacing Steering Column Lock

NOTE:

Steering column lock can only replaced in vehicles from 09/2005 with electric steering column adjustment.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove TRIM PANEL FOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY .

Disconnect plug connection (1).

NOTE:

There is the risk of mixing up the 3-pin plug connection for the footwell light.

Release shear screws (2).

Remove steering column lock (3).

Installation:

Spherical side of shim must point to steering column lock (3).

After installation:

Carry out operational check.
