Connecting the terminal device to the vehicle

In order to connect to the vehicle MINI Connected requires a connection via the USB port on the center console. All of the data information that is required for MINI Connected is transferred to the vehicle via the USB. There are two options for connecting the end device to the vehicle.

Method 1: Connection via the MINI Y-cable with video function.

This cable supports the video function. Video files can be played via the vehicle's AUX-In connection. The video is displayed in the control display of the vehicle. Audio playback takes place via the vehicle's speakers. The audio signal is transmitted via USB. The cable can be recognized by the 4 contacts at the analogue connection (3 contacts for the stereo audio signal and 1 contact for the video signal - (see Fig 1). The cable is included in the scope of delivery of the vehicle if the vehicle is equipped with the video function.
