Central information display

With certain optional equipment (for example Radio MINI Visual Boost or navigation system), the vehicle is equipped with a Central Information Display (CID). In that case, a CCC or CHAMP is installed.

The CID is 6.5 inches high. The resolution is 640 x 240 pixels with 16-bit color depth (as of 08/2010 800 x 480 pixels). The Central Information Display (CID) and the central instrument panel are inserted in one another and installed together in the dashboard.

The central instrument panel is connected via a local data bus at the auxiliary instrument (KOMBI2) on the steering column.
