General notes

If a vehicle with Combox receives programming on the integration level, a manual subsequent software update via USB must be performed (vehicle with USB audio interface SA6FL). Whether a customer has already performed a software update can be ascertained via the workshop system. In this case, the software update must be carried out by the Service department employee when the Combox is replaced or programmed to integration level.

If a Combox emergency call is installed, an update of the online services must be performed after a control unit replacement or programming. This takes place through the service via the menu in the central information display.

NOTE: Checking of the Combox after an accident!

The housing of the Combox is designed for mounting without a holder. However, without a holder, in the event of a crash, the impact energy of the accident will be transferred directly to the control unit. In the event of an accident, the control unit must be checked for external damage.
