61 31 345 Removing and installing/replacing microswitch for storage box lighting

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove lid on rear storage box. See 51 16 239 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LID ON REAR STORAGE BOX .

Lever out cover (1).

Installation:

Catches (1) and (2) on cover (3) must not be damaged.

Remove microswitch for storage box lighting (1) in direction of arrow from fixture (2).

Unlock associated plug connection (3) and disconnect.

NOTE: If plug connection (3) is not accessible, if necessary release rear screws on center console.

Replacement:

Open clip (1) and remove from microswitch for storage box lighting (2) in direction of arrow.

Installation:

Make sure clip (1) is correctly seated.
