Steering Lock: Installation
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 42 other vehicles, including the 2003 BMW 530i, 2003 BMW 525i, 2002 BMW M5, 2002 BMW 540i, and 2002 BMW 530i. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Remove retaining paint, unscrew and remove grub screws and fit ignition starter switch to new steering lock. See Fig 1.
- Tighten new shear-off screws and secure with varnish.
- To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
- Test lock cylinder and electric operation (e.g. ignition, radio, etc.).
