Vehicle Sound Generator (VSG): Notes

The Vehicle Sound Generator (VSG) is a sound generator for electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles. Vehicles that are operated electrically can hardly be heard.

The generated outside sound warns road users. The attention of pedestrians in particular is drawn to the presence of an electrically operated vehicle.

NOTE: There are legal regulations in some countries that stipulate that electrically operated vehicles must have a clearly audible outside sound.
