32 13 006 Bleeding power steering unit

After filling:

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

NOTE: To avoid mix-ups when filling with hydraulic fluid, mark the fluid reservoirs or their caps with identification marks.

ATF Automatic transmission fluid

  1. Topping up when engine stationary:
    • Top up fluid reservoir to "MAX" mark on dipstick Hydraulic fluid
    • Refer to OPERATING FLUIDS

  2. Bleeding:
    • Start engine.
    • Turn steering wheel twice each as far as left and right lock.
  3. Oil level check with engine off:
    • Check fluid level
    • If necessary, top up hydraulic fluid to "MAX" level
  4. Check:
    • Check pipe connections for leaks
