13 62 531 Replacing coolant temperature sensor (N63 B40/B44 O 0/1)

IMPORTANT:
Protect alternator against coolant.
Cover alternator with suitable apparatus (risk of damage) .

Necessary preliminary tasks
- Read out fault memory of the DME control unit, work through test plans if necessary.
- Switch off ignition.
- Remove auxiliary water pump for exhaust turbocharger. See AUXILIARY WATER PUMP (N63) or AUXILIARY WATER PUMP (N63O1) .
Unlock connector (1) and remove.
Unfasten coolant temperature sensor (2).
Installation note:
Tightening torque 13 62 1AZ .
Delete fault memory.
