65 83... Removing and installing (replacing) Car Information Computer (CIC)

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect battery negative lead . See 12 00... INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY .
- Remove central trim for instrument panel . See 51 45 314 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING CENTRE (BOTTOM) INSTRUMENT PANEL TRIM .
Release screws (1).
Pull CIC (2) forwards a little.
Unlock associated plug connections and disconnect.
Remove CIC (2).
Installation:
Make sure CIC (2) is correctly seated in guide lugs (3).
Replacement:
Carry out vehicle programming and coding .
