65 82 010 Removing And Installing (Replacing) Control Display

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect negative battery cable. See 61 20 900 DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD .
Remove wood trim on instrument panel on right.

NOTE: Follow instructions for handling optical fibers. See61 00 ... NOTES ON HANDLING OPTICAL FIBERS .

Release screws (1).

Remove control display (2) in direction of arrow.

Unlock plug connection behind and disconnect.

Remove control display (2).

Installation:

Guides (1) of control display (2) must be exactly seated in mountings of instrument panel.

Replacement:

Carry out coding/programming. See VEHICLE PROGRAMMING AND CODING .
