65 50 631 Replacing Control Unit For Rear Compartment Monitor

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

CAUTION: The fully installed rear compartment monitor can only be swiveled up and down with the ignition turned on. Then turn off ignition again immediately.
Swiveling rear compartment monitor up/down without ignition voltage, refer to REMOVING REAR COMPARTMENT MONITOR .
NOTE: Follow instructions for handling optical fibers.  See61 00 ... NOTES ON HANDLING OPTICAL FIBERS .

Fold up rear compartment monitor (1).

Release screws (2) and remove trim in center console at rear (3) in direction of arrow.

Release screws (1).

Installation: 

Do not mix up plug connections (3) and (4).

Unlock plug connections (2), (3) and (4) and disconnect.

Feed out control unit for rear compartment monitor (5) in direction of arrow and set down.

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Remove control unit for rear compartment monitor (2).

Replacement: 

Carry out coding/programming. See VEHICLE PROGRAMMING AND CODING .
