12 14 522 Replacing Pulse Generator On Left Inlet Camshaft (N73)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

(cylinder bank 7 to 12)
Read out fault memory of DME control unit.
Remove center equipment bulkhead . See 51 71 085 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CENTER OF ASSEMBLY COMPARTMENT BULKHEAD .

Unlock plug connection and detach.

Unscrew screw.

Remove pulse generator (1).

Installation:

Replace sealing ring and coat with anti-friction rubber coating.
