32 31 102 Replacing Steering Spindle Sleeve

IMPORTANT: Do not kink floor panelling under any circumstances!

After installation:

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

NOTE: For purposes of clarity, this task is shown with the sleeve removed.

Lever bearing bushing (1) out of sleeve (2) with plastic wedge or screwdriver.

Remove bearing bushing (1) from sleeve (2).

Pop sleeve (2) out of bulkhead and pull out from inside.

Installation sequence: 

Lubricate sleeve from outside with silicone grease and insert (without bearing bushing) from vehicle interior.

NOTE: Arrow (1) must point vertically downwards.

Engage sleeve in bulkhead with tabs.

NOTE: Make sure sleeve is correctly seated.

NOTE: For purposes of clarity, this task is shown with the sleeve removed.

Lubricate bushing (1) with silicone grease and press into sleeve (2) from car interior.
