61 31 052 Removing and Installing/Replacing Centre Console Switch Cluster

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Release screws (1).

Unclip center console switch cluster (2) in direction of arrow from trim for storage tray (3) and remove.

Installation: 

Make sure center console switch cluster (2) engages correctly in trim for storage tray (3).

Replacement with build date up to 09/2006: 

Cut 0.75 mm 2 cable to approx. 15 cm length.

Crimp 0.75 mm2 jack (61 13 0 006 663) on prepared cable.

Open plug housing.

Insert jack of prepared cable in pin 5 of 13-pin plug X14056.

Connect cable with 2-part connecting piece (61 13 8 364 566) to lead of 13-pin plug X14056 exiting from pin 7.
