This Service Information bulletin (Revision 1) replaces SI M11 01 21 dated February 2021.

INFORMATION

As MINI transitions to a new engine oil supplier in 2021, the corresponding engine oil part numbers will change.

The table below will help you to identify which new engine oil part numbers are to be used in your workshop after  the old part number stock is depleted.

The 0W-30 LL01 FE engine oil is fully compatible with older engines and the 5W-30 LL01 engine oil.

WARRANTY INFORMATION

For covered repairs, with repair/claim dates on or after August 1, 2017, Warranties will only reimburse in exact quantities - the 1/10 liter "billing part numbers" for the applicable bulk engine oil (tanker or drum) that is needed after the completion of an engine repair (partial or full) or when an "Engine oil" maintenance service task is performed.

For these applicable claim submissions, the "one-liter bottle" part numbers will no longer be eligible for reimbursement.
