52 14... Replacing heating element for left or right front seat

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove seat fabric.
For driver's seat, see appropriate seat:
- SEAT COVER FOR DRIVER'S SEAT (NORMAL/ELECTRIC SEAT)
- SEAT COVER FOR DRIVER'S SEAT (COMFORT SEAT)
- SEAT COVER FOR DRIVER'S SEAT (SPORT SEAT)
For front passenger seat, see appropriate seat:
- Remove backrest cover.
For driver's seat, see appropriate seat:
- BACKREST COVER FOR DRIVER'S SEAT (NORMAL/ELECTRIC SEAT)
- BACKREST COVER FOR DRIVER'S SEAT (COMFORT SEAT)
- BACKREST COVER FOR DRIVER'S SEAT (SPORT SEAT)
For front passenger seat, see appropriate seat:
NOTE:
Side heating elements (side sections) are bonded with a foam section and cannot be separated from each other without causing damage.
Foam section and heating elements must be replaced.
Foam section and heating elements must be replaced.
Check new foam section:
- No obvious damage or material defects
- All trim wires present in foam
- No bubbles in foam section
- No dirt/contamination on foam or residual foam
- Pay attention to foam section on left and right
Check new heating elements:
- No obvious damage or material defects
- All tear-off film pieces presents
- Note variant by examining label on cable
Stick on bead parts at top (1) and bottom (2):
- Detach adhesive film from left or right bead parts in succession and stick on heating elements along bead part edges.
- Press down evenly in outwards direction
Stick on bead parts (1):
- Detach adhesive film from left or right bead part (1) and stick on heating element along bead part edges.
- Press down evenly in outwards direction
Check laying of heating elements:
- Heating elements laid without folds
- Heating elements correctly positioned
- All bonding surfaces stuck on
