12 14 521 Replacing crankshaft pulse generator

Necessary Preliminary Tasks: 

• Switch off ignition.
• Read out fault memory of DME control unit.
• Check stored fault messages.
• Remove intake air manifold. Refer to 11 61 051 REMOVING AND INSTALLING INTAKE MANIFOLD .

Unlock plug (1) and remove.

Unscrew bolt (2).

Remove impulse sensor.

Installation: 

Replace sealing ring.

Tightening torque, refer to 13 62 2AZ in FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM - TIGHTENING TORQUES .
