Maintenance Service Reminder Reset - Procedure 02

IMPORTANT: The CBS Maintenance jobs can be reset in the car. It is always recommended to reset the CBS jobs via the diagnosis system. It is only possible to code the statutory intervals specific to individual counties with diagnosis system.

IMPORTANT:

To be able to check and/or correct the car's on-board date properly, the diagnosis system requires the correctly set tester system date!
The jobs may only be reset after the service measure has been completed.
The brake pads can only be reset with a new brake pad ear sensor.

The CBS jobs can be reset via the diagnosis system on the following path: Diagnosis > Function selection > Service functions > Maintenance > CBS reset

CBS reset in the car

On the vehicle, maintenance operations can be reset at the instrument cluster. Here, the availablity of a service job is reset to 100 %(corresponding to the new component). The availablity is an internal computing value (not visible to the operator).

NOTE:

A reset is only possible in the car if there is no Check Control message and if the availablity of the service job is below 80%.
On-board date must be correctly set.
Resetting of a service job must always be carried out after a service measure has been completed.
The resetting process is interrupted if the time is exceeded or if a terminal is changed.

Switch ignition on.
Press the trip odometer reset button for approx. 10 seconds until the 1st service job appears in the LC display.
NOTE: The upper display in the speedometer is illuminated by a service symbol (e.g.: an oil can denotes an oil change).

NOTE: The lower display in the speedometer indicates the time or distance remaining until the next service (e.g.: 30000).
To reset the job, press the onboard computer button again for 3 seconds untill "Reset" is displayed.
Confirm "Reset" by pressing the on-board computer button for 3 seconds.

CBS reset of inspections/test required by law

Input the target for the inspections/tests required by law (e.g. vehicle/e.g emissions) by clicking on the job with the controller in the CBS menu of the Control Display at:

Press controller and select the Setup menu and press controller
Select Info sources and press controller
Select Service and press controller
Select Stat. Vehicle Insp and press controller
Select Schedule date for service and press controller
The target month or the target year can be set ans ackknowledged by turning and pressing the controller
