Power Steering Control Valve Actuator: Installation

  1. Holding the power steering pump with a suitable holding device, install the power steering control valve actuator.
    • Tighten to 16 Nm (142 lb-in).
  2. Position the power steering pump and install the 3 power steering pump bolts.
    • Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
  3. Connect the power steering control valve actuator electrical connector.
  4. Using the Power Steering Belt Installation Tool, install the power steering pump belt onto the power steering pump pulley.
    • Install the Power Steering Belt Installation Tool between the power steering pump belt and pulley and turn the crankshaft bolt clockwise.

  6. Install the RH splash shield and the 7 pin-type retainers.
