Removal And Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
  2. Remove and discard the roll restrictor cross brace-to-roll restrictor bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).

  4. Remove the front transaxle stabilizer bolt and nut.
    • To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

  6. If equipped, remove the 3 bolts and the LH exhaust manifold heat shield.
    • To install, tighten to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft).
  7. Remove the engine support insulator lower nut.
    • To install, tighten to 70 Nm (52 lb-ft).
  8. Remove the engine support insulator upper nut.
    • To install, tighten to 70 Nm (52 lb-ft).
  9. Mount the special tool to the LH cylinder head.

  11. Using the special tools, raise the engine to gain the clearance necessary to remove the insulator.

    CAUTION: Make sure that the engine support insulator locator pins are aligned correctly with the bracket.
  13. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
