Removal and Installation
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Remove and discard the roll restrictor cross brace-to-roll restrictor bolt.
- To install, tighten to 48 N.m (35 lb-ft).
- Remove the front transaxle stabilizer bolt and nut.
- To install, tighten to 40 N.m (30 lb-ft).
- If equipped, remove the 3 bolts and the LH exhaust manifold heat shield.
- To install, tighten to 11 N.m (8 lb-ft).
- Remove the engine support insulator lower nut.
- To install, tighten to 70 N.m (52 lb-ft).
- Remove the engine support insulator upper nut.
- To install, tighten to 70 N.m (52 lb-ft).
- Mount the special tool to the LH cylinder head.
- Using the special tools, raise the engine to gain the clearance necessary to remove the insulator.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the engine support insulator locator pins are aligned correctly with the bracket.
