Removal And Installation: Muffler: Installation

NOTE: Clean the mating surfaces of the three-way converter and the dual converter Y-pipe.

NOTE: To correctly seat the converters, alternately tighten the three-way converter-to-dual converter Y-pipe nuts to specification.

Install a new gasket into the Y-pipe flange. Install the three-way catalytic converter studs into the Y-pipe flange and tighten the new nuts.
- Support with a suitable jack stand.
Connect the muffler to the three-way catalytic converter and install the isolators.
- Remove the jack stand.

Install the exhaust clamp and tighten the nuts.

Install the left rear suspension control arm(s). For additional information, refer to REAR SUSPENSION .
- Check and, if necessary, adjust the alignment.
Lower the vehicle.
