Removal and Installation
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Remove the cowl vent screen. For additional information, refer to FRONT END BODY PANELS .
- Remove the RH catalytic converter. For additional information, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM .
- Remove the RH halfshaft. For additional information, refer to FRONT DRIVE HALFSHAFTS .
- Remove and discard the roll restrictor cross brace-to-roll restrictor bolt.
- To install, tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
- Remove the 4 roll restrictor cross brace bolts.
- Remove the cross brace.
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
- Remove the 3 bolts and the RH exhaust manifold heat shield.
- To install, tighten to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft).
- Remove the engine support insulator lower nut.
- To install, tighten to 70 Nm (52 lb-ft).
- Remove the engine support insulator upper nut.
- To install, tighten to 70 Nm (52 lb-ft).
- Remove the bolt and detach the power steering pressure (PSP) tube from the RH cylinder head.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
- Mount the special tool to the RH cylinder head.
- Using the special tools, raise the engine to gain the clearance necessary to remove the insulator.
- Remove the engine support insulator.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE:
LH shown, RH similar.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the engine support insulator locator pin is aligned correctly with the bracket.
