Removal & Installation

  1. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Remove fuel tank. See FUEL TANK .
  2. Disconnect pressure transducer harness connector on top rear corner of fuel tank. Remove any dirt from around fuel pump module flange area. Remove 6 fuel pump module retaining bolts. See Fig 1. Remove fuel pump module. Remove and discard fuel pump module gasket. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
