Low/Reverse Clutch Piston Assembly: Assembly

  1. Install the low reverse clutch piston seals.
    • Coat the seals with Motorcraft MERCON® Multi-Purpose (ATF) Transmission Fluid XT-2-QDX or equivalent meeting Ford specification MERCON®.

  2. Install the low reverse clutch piston.
    • Align the tab on the low reverse clutch piston retainer between the tabs on the low reverse clutch piston.
