Removal and Installation

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING article.
Remove the fasteners and the lower engine splash shield.

NOTE: Discard the reversing lamp switch gasket.

Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the reversing lamp switch.
- To install, tighten to 24 Nm (18 lb-ft).
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install a new reversing lamp switch gasket.
- Check the transmission fluid and fill as necessary. For additional information, refer to MANUAL TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION -- FUSION & MILAN article.
