Oil Pan: Installation

    NOTE: Make sure the oil pan and mating surfaces are cleaned of any oil sealant.
  1. Install new oil pan seals.
    • Apply Silicone Gasket and Sealant F7AZ-19554-EA or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSE-M4G323-A4 to the oil pan seals as shown.

  2. Apply a bead of Silicone Gasket and Sealant F7AZ-19554-EA or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSE-M4G323-A4 to the oil pan as shown.

  3. Position the oil pan.

  4. Install the oil pan bolts and tighten in the sequence shown.

  5. Install the transaxle-to-engine separator plate.
    1. Position the transaxle to engine separator plate.
    2. Position the RH transaxle-to-engine brace.
    3. Install the bolts.

  6. Install the exhaust outlet pipe bracket.
    1. Position the exhaust outlet pipe bracket.
    2. Install the bolts.

  7. Install the LH transaxle-to-engine brace.
    1. Position the LH transaxle-to-engine brace.
    2. Install the bolts and nut.

  8. Install the exhaust outlet pipe nuts and bolt.
    1. Position the exhaust outlet pipe.
    2. Install the LH exhaust manifold to outlet pipe nuts.
    3. Install the exhaust system flex tube bracket bolt.

  9. Connect the HO2S electrical connector.

  10. Install the transverse member.
    1. Position the transverse member.
    2. Install the transverse member bolts.
    3. Install the LH splash shield bolt.

  11. Install the RH engine support insulator through bolt and nut.

  12. Install the LH engine support insulator through bolt.

  13. Remove the screw-type jack.

  14. Attach the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) wire harness.

  15. Install the engine splash shield.
  16. Lower the vehicle.
  17. Install the oil level dipstick.

  18. Fill the engine with Super Premium SAE 5W-30 Motor Oil XO-5W30-QSP or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSS-M2C153-G to the specified level.
  19. Connect the battery ground cable.
