Selector Lever: Installation

  1. Install the selector lever assembly.
    1. Reconnect the selector lever electrical connector.
    2. Position the selector lever.
    3. Install the cover.

  2. Install the lighter trim, if equipped. Install the lighter element and the front ash receptacle.
  3. Raise the vehicle.
  4. Install the selector lever assembly.
    1. Install the nuts.
      2. NOTE: Do not lock the selector cable adjusting cap.

    2. Connect the selector cable.
  5. Install the heat shield.
  6. Lower the vehicle.
  7. Adjust the cable and selector lever. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE ADJUSTMENT s.
    8. NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy.
  8. Connect the battery ground cable.
