Valve Body: Installation

  1. Install 5 check balls in upper valve body. Secure check balls in place with petroleum jelly. See Fig 1 . Install upper intermediate separator plate with gaskets on upper valve body. Install solenoid reducing filter into upper valve body. Install 5 check balls in intermediate valve body.
  2. Use long reamer bolts as guide to place intermediate valve body onto upper valve body. Install line pressure valve springs and check balls into lower valve body. Install lower intermediate separator plate with gaskets on lower valve body. Install accumulator support plates onto lower valve body. Install lower valve body onto intermediate valve body and hand tighten reamer bolts.
  3. Install manual control valve and EPC solenoid valve and spring into lower valve body. Lubricate all "O" rings with ATF. Install solenoid valve assembly, TFT sensor and line pressure solenoid. See Figure . Install remaining components in reverse order of disassembly. Install remaining bolts. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
