Trouble Shooting

Verify customer's concern by operating cruise control system. Verify speedometer, horn and stoplights function properly. Check for vacuum leaks at actuator, incorrect actuator cable adjustment, damaged or misadjusted brake pedal, damaged or binding actuator cable. Check for blown fuse(s), loose or corroded connections, damaged wiring harness, damaged or misadjusted switches, damaged or corroded relays, or damaged or misadjusted Transmission Range (TR) switch. Inspect actuator cable and throttle cable/linkage for smooth operation. If fault is found, repair as necessary. If no fault is found, repair by symptom. See SYMPTOM INDEX  table under SYSTEM TESTS.
