Remote Transmitter
NOTE:
A maximum of 4 Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitters can be programmed to the central security module. Programming for all transmitters must be done at the same time. Prior to programming any RKE transmitters, ensure transmitter batteries are fully charged and anti-theft system has not been triggered (if equipped).
- Cycle ignition switch from OFF to RUN position, four times within 3 seconds to enter the learning mode. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Central Security Module (CSM) will remain in the learning mode for 20 seconds, indicated by a constant illuminated LED on instrument panel. Go to next step.
- Press any button on Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter being programmed. When signal from RKE transmitter is accepted by CSM, illuminated LED light of instrument panel will begin to flash. Once LED begins to flash, program remaining RKE transmitters. Repeat this step for all remaining RKE transmitters to be programmed. After all RKE transmitters have been programmed, go to next step.
- Ensure all RKE transmitters have been programmed, then exit learning. To exit learning mode, wait 20 seconds. If no RKE transmitter signal is received by CSM for 20 seconds, system will automatically exit learning mode. Test all RKE transmitters for proper operation. If any transmitters does not activate and deactivate locking functions, replace battery of faulty RKE transmitter(s) or replace defective RKE transmitter(s). Reprogram all transmitters and retest.
