Selector Lever: Removal

    CAUTION: Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  1. Raise the vehicle.
  2. Remove the heat shield.
  3. Disconnect the selector lever assembly.
    1. Disconnect the selector cable adjusting cap.
    2. Disconnect the selector cable.
    3. Remove the nuts.

  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Remove the front ash receptacle and lighter element. Remove the lighter trim if equipped.
  6. Remove the selector lever assembly.
    1. Remove the cover.
    2. Lift out the selector lever assembly.
    3. Disconnect the selector lever electrical connector.
