Selector Lever: Assembly

Assemble the selector lever.
1. Put the spring in place.
2. Insert the plunger.
3. Slide on the sleeve and compress it.
4. Pretension the spring using a screwdriver.
- Pull the plunger back slightly.

Install the sleeve.
1. Position the sleeve.
2. Drive in the retaining pin and align it centrally.

Install the selector lever.
1. Position the selector lever into the transaxle.
  NOTE: Bring the locating tooth into engagement.
2. Drive in the pivot pin.

Position the upper part of the body and the solenoid switch.
1. Install the upper body bolts.
2. Hook the plunger of the solenoid switch onto the lever.
3. Install the solenoid switch bolts.

Position the detent spring and adjust the selector lever.
- Move the selector lever to position "D".
1. Install the detent spring loosely.
2. Position feeler gauge.
3. Tighten the detent spring.
- Check the gap again after moving the selector lever several times.

Install the park position switch.

Install the cover.
1. Insert the lamp.
2. Position cover.

Install the selector lever knob.
1. Using cable installed during disassembly, guide the cable in and insert the O/D switch.
  - Push the selector lever knob on the selector lever.
  CAUTION: Do not damage the O/D cable when pushing it on.
  - Carefully route the cable.
2. Install the screw.
Connect the electrical connector.
1. Violet/White wire
2. Black/White wire
3. Yellow/Orange wire
4. Yellow/Orange wire
5. Orange/Black wire
6. Black wire
7. Black/Green wire
8. Black/Green wire
- Insert the cable retainer.
- Install the connector.
