Test C: Charge Warning Indicator On With Engine Running, System Is Charging

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect generator 2-pin connector. Start engine and observe charge warning indicator. If indicator illuminates, go to next step. If indicator does not illuminate, replace generator. See GENERATOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect 33-pin in-line connector, located behind top left side of instrument panel. Start engine and observe charge warning indicator. If warning indicator illuminates, repair Yellow/Blue wire between in-line connector and instrument cluster. If warning indicator does not illuminate, repair Yellow/Black wire between in-line connector and generator. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Check system operation.
