Test F: Power Seat Does Not Move Horizontal/Vertical (Without Memory)

  1. Test appropriate power seat switch. See LEFT POWER SEAT SWITCH  or RIGHT POWER SEAT SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. If left power seat switch is okay, go to step  4 . If right power seat switch is okay, go to next step. If either power seat switch is faulty, replace appropriate switch.
  2. Measure voltage between ground and right power seat switch connector C360 terminal No. 1 (Red wire). See Figure . If voltage is greater than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open in Red wire.
  3. Ensure ignition is off. Measure resistance between ground and right power seat switch connector C360 terminal No. 7 (Black wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Black wire.
  4. Disconnect appropriate power seat motor connector. Measure resistance of circuits between power seat motor and power seat switch. See POWER SEAT MOTOR CIRCUITS  table. If all resistance measurements are less than 5 ohms, replace power seat track assembly. If any resistance measurement is 5 ohms or more, repair open in appropriate circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
