Anti-Theft Systems - Active: Description

The active anti-theft system is designed to prevent unauthorized entry into passenger compartment, luggage compartment, or engine compartment. When alarm is triggered, horn sounds and parking lights flash. This system also disables engine from starting. Some system functions may tie in with remote keyless entry system.
When armed, unauthorized entry is detected by ajar switches located in each door. An alarm light LED is located on instrument panel. Models with an electronic door lock system have a PANIC feature that operates in conjunction with anti-theft system and remote keyless entry system. When PANIC button on remote transmitter is pushed, horn will sound and parking lights will flash.
