Test H: Doors Do Not Lock/Unlock Using Remote Transmitter

NOTE: Central Security Module (CSM) may also be referred to as anti-theft/central locking module.
  1. Lock doors using driver's and passenger's door lock switches. Unlock doors using driver's and passenger's door lock switches. If both doors lock and unlock properly, go to next step. If doors do not lock and unlock properly, perform appropriate test according to symptom. See SYMPTOM INDEX  table.
  2. Disconnect Central Security Module (CSM) connectors. Inspect connectors and terminals for damage. Inspect Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter antenna. If antenna and connectors are okay, go to next step. If antenna or connectors are damaged, repair or replace as necessary.
  3. Program all RKE transmitter(s). See PROGRAMMING  . If doors do not lock using transmitter, replace faulty transmitter(s) and reprogram all transmitters.
