Test F: Lumbar Inoperative

  1. Disconnect lumbar motor harness connector. Measure voltage between Yellow/Blue wire and White/Blue wire terminals at lumbar motor harness connector while operating power seat control switch to lumbar INFLATE and DEFLATE positions. If battery voltage does not exist with opposite polarity, go to next step. If battery voltage exists with opposite polarity, replace seat lumbar assembly.
  2. Disconnect power seat control switch harness connector. Measure resistance of Yellow/Blue wire between power seat control switch harness connector and seat lumbar motor harness connector. Also, measure resistance of White/Blue wire between power seat control switch harness connector and seat lumbar motor harness connector. If both resistance readings are 5 ohms or less, replace power seat control switch. See POWER SEAT CONTROL SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If either resistance reading is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in appropriate wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
