Preliminary Procedure
- Verify customer complaint by operating remote keyless entry system. Check for binding latch mechanisms, binding linkage or misaligned door. Check for open fuse(s). Check for loose or corroded connectors, damaged wiring harness, damaged remote transmitter, damaged door lock actuator or faulty door lock relay. Repair or replace components as necessary. If all components are okay, connect NGS tester to DLC located below instrument panel. Perform DATA LINK DIAGNOSTIC TEST.
- If NGS tester displays CKT914, CKT915 or CKT70=ALL ECUS NO RESP/NOT EQUIP, see TEST C: REMOTE ANTI-THEFT PERSONALITY (RAP) MODULE DOES NOT RESPOND TO NGS TESTER
MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article to continue diagnosis. If NGS tester displays NO RESP/NOT EQUIP for RAP module, go to TEST D: NO COMMUNICATION WITH RAP MODULE
under SYSTEM TESTS.
- If NGS tester displays SYSTEM PASSED, retrieve and record continuous DTCs. Erase continuous DTCs and perform self-test diagnostics for RAP module using NGS tester. Perform appropriate system test in accordance with DTC retrieved. See RAP MODULE SELF-TEST DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) TABLE
. If no DTCs are retrieved, go to SYSTEM TESTS.
