Transmission Range (Tr) Sensor Test

Disconnect Transmission Range (TR) sensor. Measure resistance between TR sensor terminals No. 4 (Light Green wire) and No. 6 (Blue wire) with transmission in Park. See Fig 1 . Measure resistance between TR sensor terminals No. 4 (Light Green wire) and No. 8 (Blue wire) with transmission in Neutral. Resistance should be less than 5 ohms, for each measurement. Replace TR sensor if resistance is 5 ohms or greater for either measurement. Restore electrical connections and check system operation.
