Test B: Improper Forward/Backward Operation

  1. Check Control Switch  - Perform LEFT SEAT CONTROL SWITCH  and RIGHT SEAT CONTROL SWITCH  tests as described under COMPONENT TESTING. If control switches are okay, go to next step. If control switches are faulty, replace switches as needed.
  2. Check Seat Motor  - Disconnect seat motor connector. Using jumper wires, apply battery voltage to Red/Green wire and ground Yellow/Green wire at connector. Seat should move forward. Reverse leads. Seat should move backward. If seat operates as specified, repair Orange and/or Green wires between motor and control switch. If seat does not operate correctly, replace motor.
