Test A: Locks Do Not Operate From Remote Transmitter

NOTE: Keep driver's window rolled down when performing testing to avoid getting locked out of vehicle.

  1. Check Remote Transmitter

    Press LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on remote transmitter. If doors do not lock and unlock, go to next step. If doors lock and unlock, remote transmitter is operating properly at this time. No further testing is required.
  2. Check Remote Transmitter Battery

    Open remote transmitter case by inserting a coin between case halves and twisting. Using voltmeter, measure voltage of batteries. If voltage is more than 3 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 3 volts or less, replace batteries and retest system operation.
  3. Reprogram Remote Transmitter

    Reprogram remote transmitter into control module. See REMOTE TRANSMITTER  under PROGRAMMING. If remote transmitter still does not operate properly, replace remote transmitter and go to next step. If remote transmitter now operates properly, system is functioning properly. No further testing is required at this time.
  4. Program Timer Control Module

    Program new remote transmitter. See REMOTE TRANSMITTER  under PROGRAMMING. Check operation of new remote transmitter. If new remote transmitter operates properly, system is functioning properly. If new remote transmitter does not operate properly, replace timer control module and retest system operation.
