Preliminary Inspection

Verify the customer concern by operating the electronic door lock control system. Visually inspect the components of the electronic door lock control system for the following:

• Damaged door lock mechanisms
• Stuck or binding door lock
• Blown fuse(s): 15A ROOM LAMP, 30A POWER WINDOW or 10A ELECTRON BAT
• Damaged RH circuit breaker
• Damaged connectors
• Damaged keyless entry components
• Damaged power lock actuators
• Damaged door switches
• Broken or loose wiring
• Corroded or poor connections

Check the wiring harness for obvious signs of shorts, opens, bad connections, or damage. If fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and go to SYMPTOM INDEX  under SYSTEM TESTS.
