Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL)

Trouble codes are retrieved from EEC system through MIL (CHECK ENGINE light) located on instrument panel. MIL is used with Diagnostic Test Connector (DTC). See Figure . Turn ignition key ON. Disconnect diagnostic connector, located near starter in engine compartment. Use jumper wire to connect Blue/White wire and Grey/Blue wire together at diagnostic connector. See Figure . Wait 2 seconds. Remove jumper wire and reconnect diagnostic connector. Read flashes on MIL and record diagnostic trouble codes.
