Alternator No Load Test

Connect DVOM to battery posts. Read voltage with engine off. Start engine and run at 1500 RPM with all accessories off. Read voltage. Voltage should increase from previous reading by approximately 2.5 volts. Voltage reading with engine running should be 14.1-14.7 volts. Go to next test.
