Speed Control Does Not Disengage When Clutch Is Released

  1. Unplug clutch switch connector, located at clutch pedal lever. Press brake pedal. Measure voltage on White/Green wire at switch connector. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair White/Green wire from stoplight switch.
  2. Reconnect wiring to clutch switch. Press brake pedal. Measure voltage on Green wire at switch connector. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, replace clutch switch.
  3. Turn ignition off. Unplug speed control module connector. Unplug clutch switch connector. Measure resistance of Green wire between clutch switch and speed control module. Measure resistance between Green wire and ground. If resistance is not greater than 5 ohms between connectors, and is greater than 10,000 ohms to ground, go to SPEED CONTROL INOPERATIVE  . If resistance is not as specified, repair Green wire.
