Preliminary Inspection

Visually inspect the components of the keyless entry system for the following:

• Damaged door lock mechanisms
• Stuck or binding door lock mechanisms
• Blown fuse(s): 15A Room Lamp, 30A Power Window or 10A Electron Bat
• Damaged connectors
• Damaged keyless entry components
• Damaged door lock actuators
• Damaged door switches
• Broken or loose wiring
• Corroded or poor connections

Check the wiring harness for obvious signs of shorts, opens, bad connections or damage. If fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and proceed to Keyless Entry System Does Not Function Properly  .
