Trunk Unlock
- Turn ignition on. Press trunk release switch in glove box. If trunk unlocks, go to next step. If trunk does not unlock, go to step 3 . If trunk is always unlocked, go to step 5 .
- Disconnect control module connector C418. See Figure . Check for continuity between terminal No. 7 of connector C418 and trunk release solenoid. If continuity exists, replace control module. Repeat Quick Test . If no continuity exists, repair Purple/Yellow wire. Repeat Quick Test .
- Check trunk release solenoid. If solenoid is okay, go to next step. If solenoid is not operational, replace solenoid. Repeat Quick Test .
- Check 20 amp circuit breaker P/W. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Replace circuit breaker, if necessary. If circuit breaker is okay, repair open or short in Purple/Yellow wire. Repeat Quick Test .
- Disconnect module connector C418. If trunk locks, replace control module. Repeat Quick Test . If trunk does not lock, go to next step.
- Disconnect trunk release switch in glove box. Disconnect control module connector. If trunk locks, replace trunk release switch. Repeat Quick Test . If trunk does not lock, repair short in Purple/Yellow wire. Repeat Quick Test .
